A colourful approach to cultivating your drawing skills and adding colour to your artwork. To enhance visual interest and intensity of your creations, you will be introduced to basic colour theory, value studies, blending and layering of colours. We will also investigate why light and shadow play a key role in creating vibrant and unique artwork.
This class will feature drawing demonstrations, step-by-step guidance, varied exercises designed to explore the essentials such as proportion, construction, specific techniques to assist in creating depth and volume of basic shapes.
By the end of the course, your observational skills will have improved, along with your ability to create convincing forms, and apply nuanced color, transforming simplistic sketches into compelling artworks.
