Prerequisite: Spanish Conversation Level 1

Overall Goals:

1. Help the students, who can only deal with simple situations (like introducing themselves and others, ordering food in a restaurant, asking for directions or making a complaint), to communicate effectively in various everyday situations.


2. Develop students’ receptive and productive skills to help them communicate fluently and accurately in familiar and unfamiliar situations in both personal and professional contexts.

Intended Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

• Carry on a simple conversation in Spanish with confidence

Methodology:

• Vocabulary activities
• Modelling and practising short conversations
• Pair and group activities
• Pronunciation activities
• Listening activities (listening for gist and for specific information)
• Reading activities (skimming and scanning tasks)
• Grammar activities and games
