Prerequisite: AutoCAD - Level 1 or equivalent knowledge
This intermediate level course introduces the procedures involved in generating automated bills of material from drawings. Emphasis is placed on presentation of drawings through automated slides and an introduction to macros through scripts. 3D wireframe drawings are explored by examining wireframe and surface models and plottings of 3D drawings are studied. Other topics include: introduction to attributes; attribute extraction; slide, script and macros; creation of 3D models; examining user co-ordinate system; creation of surfaces; PSpace and MSpace; plotting of 3D drawings and examining plot scales. The course is held in a fully equipped computer lab which enables immediate, hands-on practice. Platform: Windows Software: AutoCAD Equipment required: 2Gb (or higher) Flash Drive
