Overall Goals:

  2. Emphasis is placed on effective workplace writing, speaking and on developing interpersonal skills which typifies a business context.

Intended Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
  • Initiate and maintain discourses more fluently in a business context.
  • Build relationships and develop networks.
  • Prepare and deliver successful oral presentations.
  • Write and respond to email messages, memos, letters.
  • Write summaries and reports.
  • Participate in meetings and negotiations.
  • Carry out effective interviews.

  • Give opinions on work-related issues.
