Course Description:

This course is aimed at professionals who are members of a professional body, have a good knowledge of French, and are required to sit the OQLF exam.

The aim of the course is to help students improve their command of the French language in a Quebec professional context, with a view to passing the OQLF exam.

The course is divided into two parts: each week, there is a 90-minute virtual class and 90 minutes of independent study, over a period of 8 weeks, making a total of 24 hours.

The teacher offers personalised support as required via Zoom, email or telephone.

PREREQUISITES OR PRIOR KNOWLEDGE

French level 7 on the Quebec Scale


Required Material:

  • Device: PC (Windows 11) or Mac OS 13 (Ventura or newer).
    Laptops or desktops are recommended for full functionality.

    Students may be able to participate using Chromebooks or tablets, but features may be limited.
  • Internet Connection: Minimum - 10 Mbps download / 2 Mbps upload.
    Recommended - 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload.

    Wired internet connection is preferred for stability.
  • Audio & Video: Headphones or earbuds with a microphone.
    Webcam (built-in or external) is recommended.
  • Web Browser: The latest versions of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari.
