Prerequisites:
  • I understand everything that is said to me / everything I read.
  • I can easily respond to questions asked of me.
  • I can convey my ideas clearly and precisely.
  • I have no difficulty following films/shows and understanding their general ideas.
  • I have difficulties with some challenging verb tenses such as the subjunctive.
  • I need to enrich my vocabulary in specific areas.
Methodology:

Course of 4.5 hours, 5 times a week, for 4 weeks, totaling 90 hours.

General Objectives:

This course is designed for students who already have a good command of the French language in all four language skills, namely:
  • Oral comprehension, written comprehension, oral expression, and written expression.
  • This course explores all the richness of the French language and aims to resolve most of the grammatical issues.
  • It also helps in assimilating both familiar and more challenging linguistic usages.
Specific Objectives:
  • To help students communicate fluently in French by enriching their vocabulary.
  • To teach students how to master writing / essay writing (expressing their ideas in writing).
  • To enable students to use French expressions in an appropriate and relevant context.
Content:
  • The initial classes will review various verb tenses to ensure correct grammatical structures.
  • Themed texts will be read/studied and discussed in class.
  • A museum visit will be included in the curriculum to integrate a cultural theme. Lessons will be followed by in-class exercises and corrected in groups.
  • Every Friday, a film will be selected/watched, followed by a debate.
